Rev. Bruce MacInnes

Head Pastor

Pastor Bruce MacInnes serves as Head Pastor at Goldston Baptist Church and has faithfully served in vocational ministry for over 35 years. He earned his Master of Divinity from Columbia International University and, along with his family, served as a missionary in Madrid, Spain for three years. He later pastored Turners Chapel in Sanford, North Carolina for 28 years before retiring and joining the staff at Goldston Baptist in 2020.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Bruce has been an adjunct faculty member at Carolina College of Biblical Studies for over 15 years and writes a weekly column for the Sanford Herald. He also serves on the boards of Lee Christian School, Bread of Life Mission, and Reach Out Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Pastor Bruce and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 46 years and are blessed with four children and eight grandchildren. They make their home in Sanford, North Carolina.

Caleb Staley

Associate Pastor, Youth and Children’s Pastor

Caleb Staley serves as Associate Pastor at Goldston Baptist Church and has led Goldston Baptist Youth and Goldston Baptist Kids since 2021. He is currently pursuing his Master of Christian Leadership at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Caleb graduated from Queens University, where he played baseball and earned a degree in Business Administration. He also serves as Chair of the Board for Chatham Christian Academy, which is housed at Goldston Baptist Church.

Caleb is married to his high school sweetheart, Emery, and they are blessed with a daughter, Merritt, who was born in the summer of 2025.

Jason Burton

Worship Pastor

Jason Burton serves on staff at Goldston Baptist as the Worship Pastor. Jason and his wife, Jessica have overseen the music ministry at Goldston Baptist for over 10 years. Jason and Jessica both graduated from Gardner Webb with a degree in Music. Jason also serves as a Deacon at Goldston Baptist.

Jason is married to his wife, Jessica. They have two children, Jeremiah and Hannah Grace.
